RE: Marti Gras The President is the commander-in-chief of our military, so he's not a civilian. Anyone not in a military is a civilian. Police are not military (some seem to want to be, and, I think, in some countries the military is the police.) Our police work in civil life. Our military is for repelling foreign invaders, which is really our job as the militia of the United States as stated in the Second Amendment, (and our military is apparently for attacking anyone who has oil, but I'll try not to get into that.) and they don't regularly work in civil life. RE: Marti Gras Well, if American's wern't so scared and stupid, there would be more Malitia's, and we wouldn't need the police. But, since they are, there are a few people that put their lives on the line, to protect the other people from the really stupid ones out there (burglars, child molestors, serial killers, rioters, whatever). I'm sure most of the cops out there would be glad to have "non-cops" help them. It's a quite demanding job, police are spread thin, for the most part. But how did this get brought up?
