Missionary dilema (This is typed by my grandfather...I think he's crazy...) A Missionary was on an island inhabited by (3) tribes of natives. One tribe was made up of people who told the truth every time without fail. One tribe was people who lied every time without fail. The third tribe was Cannibals! The Missionary had to travel a path across the island to get to his work. As he went along the path, he came to a fork in the path. At the fork stood a man. The Missionary knew he was not a Cannibal, but did not know whether he always lied or always told the truth. If the Missionary went down the wrong fork, he would meet the Cannibals and be killed. What (1) question could he ask the native and know which path was safe? The Missionary can only ask ONE question. Good luck, I will check the answers when I get home tomorrow, or Monday.
