I've done some more stuff. Users will have the ability to select from a list of pre-defined color schemes.

The "Tip Box" has been changed to match the board.

I've also changed the user info header.


Users can be created and can log in now. There's not actually a place to select the color schemes right now... but there will be. Grin

ACK!!! Wide Eyes You weren't supposed to say anything about that!!! Ugh

Oh, well. It was bound to come out. Nobody get yer hopes up about the LoM game though. It's kind of a learning experience. I'm actually making just an engine and it'll have an editor so it'd be like making a game with ASCII's RPG Maker.

"Why not make a LoM game with RPG Maker?" You might ask, well...

Reason #1: I can't sell games made with RPG Maker--that'd be illegal.
Reason #2: Mine's different from the RPG Maker. It plays more like the 2D Zelda games. Your movement isn't restricted to being perfectly centered on a tile on the map, and you don't enter battle. (I know, that's different from the board where you have turn-based battle, but I prefer a straight fight with a gun instead of taking turns. Smile)
Reason #3: My engine uses 800x600 resolution, RPG Maker 95 and 98 do 640x480.... RPG Maker 2000 does 320x240 (WHY IN THE HECK DID THEY LOWER THE RESOLUTION?!) The sprites can be much bigger, maybe even any (reasonable) size you want.
Reason #4: I'm hoping to make mine multiplayer, like LoM is. Smile RPG Maker definitely can't do that! (They have some RPG Maker now that's multiplayer, but all the servers are Japanese, so it'd be useless here. Blah)

Anyway, if all goes well, it'll play sorta like the Diablo games. You'd probably still be able to do most of the stuff you do here. And as for multiplayer, I'm thinkin' when you join a server, your character wakes up in bed in his house, and his doors unlock so people can come in. When the player leaves the server, the character goes to his house, the doors lock, and the player disconnects. I'm probably thinking waaaay too big of a project for just me... but it doesn't hurt to try. Blah It's being programmed with C++ and uses the DirectX8 APIs. I've been working on upgrading the graphics subsystem to DirectX8 (Which is 3D only, but the game is not 3D.) I was using DirectDraw, which is old and is part of DirectX7. Blah Okay, I'll stop speaking Greek, these aren't the droids you're looking for, move along.
