Christmas time is here!! What do you want for Christmas? I think all I want is to not go to Pidgeon Forge for the Holidays. It sounds like it's really gonna stink. And I want to have decorations. My mom doesn't really want them this year. I might have convinced her otherwise today, but there is no telling. Okay, and I do want a couple things... Webcam Lava / Lightning Lamp Ghost Recon 2 Whatever it is that McFarlan (aka. my girlfriend) is making me Uuuuuuuhm. I really cannot think of anything else. Money? Anyway... RE: Christmas time is here!! Doesn't mean he can't have them on his list. I think you mean 3DSMAX (used to be called 3D Studio MAX) and Microsoft Visual C++. I was thinking of trying to talk the computer guy here at school into letting me borrow the install CDs for Visual C++ Studio 6for a day, but uh, I don't think he'd let me steal the school's software like that.  And yea, I meant 3dS max, but thats over $3000.  I'll just have to use gmax for now. RE: Christmas time is here!! Visual Studio 6 is a package of different applications including Visual C++, Visual J++, Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, and Visual InterDev. As far as I know, all those can be bought separately (or used to be anyway.) The later versions of Visual Studio have everything integrated into one IDE, so I'm pretty sure you can't buy anything separately. Their new Express software (C# Express, VB.NET Express, etc.) can be bought separately and only separately I believe. Well, it's not out yet (it's still in beta,) but I think that's what it's going to be. Edit: Upon research, I found that all the different parts of the latest Visual Studios (VB.NET, C++, etc.) are available as separate packages. Visual C++ is almost a hundred dollars at Amazon.com.
