Should I buy a DS for $100 or wait until it costs less?

I have already proven that I never play on my Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance SP--Classic NES edition, no less.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - Repeatedly got lost and got tired of starting over to figure out where I was.

Pokemon Blue - Got lost and didn't want to start over because of all the cool slag I caught. Subsequently lost the cartridge.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Got repetitive.

Star Wars: Apprentice of the Force - Too difficult.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - I am oddly terrible at this game.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - Got lost. Too far in to feel like starting over.

With this information, should I get a DS? List of games I want to play is as follows:
Sonic Rush
Meteos
Mario Kart DS
Advance Wars DS
Lost in Blue
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Nintendogs
Phoenix Wright (some subtitle I don't remember)

Also, a few games that aren't released yet; the 3D remake of Final Fantasy III, the new Super Mario Bros., and Metroid Prime: Hunters.

If you say "No, get a PSP" or anything even similar, I will tear your spine out through your mouth and beat you with it.

RE: Should I buy a DS?

Honestly, I like the DS. It's a good concept. The games I've played though, are Super Mario DS, Meteos, Metroid, and  Mario Kart DS.
I actually enjoyed them all. Granted I have a PSP too, but I think PSP hasn't really flourished yet, and DS is just starting to. So I'd suggest the DS.

On a display piece at the local Wal-Mart, I played the Metroid Prime: Hunters demo and I loved the controls. Being about to use the touch screen like I would a mouse on a PC FPS, but on a portable game, is simply awesome. If I buy a DS, I would definitely be getting the full MP: Hunters as soon as it came out. Wireless support makes it even more appealing.

I have to decide and get to a Target store before the 5th though if I want to take advantage of their $100 sale, so I need to decide fast.

Personally, I would suggest against it.
I know you want one really badly, but you also wanted the other hand-held gaming things really badly, and you didn't play them very long before you lost interest in them.

I suggested to you on the last one, to go ahead and get it. This time, I am going the other way. I think it will wind up to be just like your other ones. You'll get the games, think they are great for a while... then you'll get lost or something like that, and slowly start to just stop using it.

My answer stays the same. Until they are down to the price where you can get them for the price of pocket change... Translate that how you will. Happy Dead

For Tom/Wolf... That'd be already... For you... That'll take a few years... For me... Never. Laughing

RE: Official DS Thread

I bought one along with Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Target actually didn't have any, but Best Buy matched the price, no questions asked. Smile

So far, it's cool. I was a little disappointed that Pictochat and Advance Wars's multiplayer mode could only be used with the short-range built-in wireless network. Moreso because I don't know anybody in my city who owns a DS, so I'm plum outta luck.

That's Stasis after getting his new DS.

Before you ask, this image has been altered. The DS is drawn in. The rest of it is the original picture.
