New Lands of Meeriad. What features would everyone like to see on the new LoM? --- I think I would like to see a better look and more user friendly. Stats. More seperate/broken down items - aka: Weapons Armor Vehicles Misc. Possibly an ability to put an icon along with the item. The ability to equip items. And when you equip them it affects your stats. The shop options only on posts that you want it to have. And not on the side of every single post. Personal color schemes... 8D!! I think that's it for now. RE: New Lands of Meeriad. Stats would be a novelty unless Kyle implemented a full battle system (a game, if you will), which isn't going to ever happen, so don't even joke about it. Admins should be able to go to a person's profile and edit their inventory instead of having to go into administration, then user options, then select a user, then make it refresh the page for every single item. There should be two boxes. The left side box has every item that exists. The right box is the user's inventory. In the middle, there are add and remove buttons. When you tell it to make the changes, it adds them. Thus, you can make all the inventory changes you want without waiting... and waiting... and waiting... Then it would be a lot easier to go change an inventory when somebody buys and uses grenades and slag. RE: New Lands of Meeriad. Well, most of what you said was already on the list to do. A long time ago, I had thought about personal color schemes, but it's a lot of work for really no benefit. Plus, letting people color it however they want means the site would lose its identity. Perhaps we could do a couple preset styles that you could select, but they aren't created by the individual user. In regard to posting in a future version, I think I'm going to have to disable HTML. People write some awful markup. I could put in special codes for commonly-used things, but no straight markup. I'm sorry. Until everybody learns proper XHTML 1.0 Strict, no markup. I could make the post editor have some more helpful things (sort of like we have now with the "add image code" and what-not) but would help you more. Like "Add Italic Tag" would add "[i]" to the post and there would be a generic "Close Tag" button which would close the last opened tag. And, of course, we'd have the same ol' smilies. And about color scheming, I did mean presets... I don't know why I said custom.
